How to Stay On Track

Meet Belinda.

Belinda is an entrepreneur straight through to her core. She lives and breathes her mission.

She cares about her clients.care

She loves what she does.

She has about a million good ideas each day, whilst struggling to keep up with her current workload of clients and can’t remember a weekend where she didn’t take work home.

She works too hard, even though she loves what she does.

And she keep going, week in, week out, because she doesn’t have time to stop and think about what else she could do.

She HAS to keep going – because the mortgage, the emails that keep coming in, and the phone that keeps ringing (mostly for more problems, rather than new clients… )

She just keeps going and going and going.

Weird thing is, she feels on-track, most of the time. Well, when she’s “making progress”, anyway.

Some might say she’s on track for burnout.

If you’re reading about Belinda, and thinking – omg, that could be me! You’re not alone!

One of the hardest things in business is staying on track.

It’s not having the ideas, or knowing what you could do, %$firstname$%.

It’s also not about already having money to spend on outsourcing and marketing – which is what a lot of folks believe.

And as a result, they never get moving.

The big thing that folks struggle with, consistently, is being consistent.

And it’s easy to see why.

When you have lots going on, and people pulling you in all directions, too many ideas to implement and not enough time, money and resources to make sensible decisions… it’s the hardest thing in the world to sift through everything and know what things you should do for best effect.

In fact, it’s so hard, most people – even movers and shakers – can end up spinning their wheels, jumping from one course of action to another, never really getting the traction that leads to the riches their hard work deserves.
So how do you stay on track?

Well at this point the best course of action is to get some outside help.

From someone who knows what they’re doing.

Someone who can see the forest for the trees, who has walked that path before, and can give you grounded, impartial advice about the pit-falls to avoid.

This is why we have coaches – for everything.

I know from my own experience my results in everything have multiplied several fold, a short time after engaging a coach.

Only this weekend I was at an event for tennis….

(I started tennis coaching about 6 weeks ago, and man, I don’t even recognise my playing now!)

This is where the magic happens.

You get some help… You get the basics taken care of, with someone who knows what they’re doing.

And then you rock out and do your thing….

Having tonnes more fun in the process.

(Do you know how AMAZING it feels to wack a kill-shot across the net, in the perfect position to win the point, and hear the ball *pop* on the racket as it hits the sweet-spot?!)

There was no way I could have got to that point without some professional input.

And it’s just like that in business.

Bottom line: whatever you’re trying to do – find someone who can do it, and who can coach it well, and do whatever it takes to work with them.

Your Action Step

Right now, make a list of people you *could* be in touch with… and then pick one, and make that call.

Looking back in six months’ time, you’ll be glad you did!

Hit the comments and let me know you did it!

I love to hear about your progress!

To Your Inevitable Success,
