Most of us know that our thoughts affect our lives. But what happens when we have hidden and subconscious thoughts about poverty and not deserving success that continually sabotage our hard work?
And more to the point – how do we go about eliminating them, so we can live the abundance, happy, healthy lifestyle we would consciously CHOOSE?
Maybe we’re aware of repeating patterns in our thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
Or maybe we experience uncomfortable feelings or thoughts when it comes to money, success, sales or any number of potential “triggers”.
Sometimes I end up talking to people who aren’t even aware that they have underlying emotional blockages. These folks seem to think that they just haven’t implemented enough, or they haven’t done things in the right sequence, or that they just need to find the right tactic that is right for them. The trouble is, when people are not consistently doing this deep work on the inner world they often bounce around looking for their next hit of positive energy, or tactic to make money, or mind candy to get their teeth into. Instead of making rapid shifts in their revenue, and their own emotional development they end up instead working hard to suppress their feelings and to protect their ego, doing everything they can to be “right”… even though they aren’t making money.
But what about those who know that they have hidden blocks and want to deal with them?
How do you get rid of the hidden money blocks?
Well this is a question I get asked an awful lot, so I’ve decided to do something to help as many people in one hit with this very problem. Keep reading… I’ll tell you exactly what I’m going to do in a moment.
First we need to understand why we are at this point.
The thing is, there isn’t much information out there in common parlance that tells us how to dig out these sometimes hidden and obscure money blocks.
Some of us might have had the good fortune of bumping up against work that makes us more aware. I’m often contacted by psychologists, therapists and coaches who want to learn how to make more money in their practice – and these guys “get” the inner world stuff… But once you’re aware of these issues – how do you then go about taking them out so you can live a life unhindered?
Even when you untangle the myriad of thoughts and possible beliefs, how do you go about pulling them out so they never sabotage your life again?
That’s a good question. Let me use three examples to illustrate what needs to be done.
3 Common Hidden Beliefs and How to Get Rid of Them
Belief: I have to work hard for money
The ultimate benefit in terms of your money situation is that when you let go of all the emotional baggage around money, you can have more money with less effort. If it seems natural to you that you have to work hard in order to make money, simply take out the belief you need to work hard in order to earn money. Take out all the programs and thoughts that say you have to deserve it. And everything inside you that says that you’re not good enough.
Thought: I don’t want to be seen/ I don’t want to step out
If you’re struggling with a program that says you don’t want to be seen, take out the belief that if you’re visible, someone is going to come and cut you down. If you don’t want to be seen, you’re going to have a hard job attracting customers, a partner and you’ll end up pretty lonely, doing crazy things to get peoples’ attention. Do the work now, and root out the faulty programming, and you can choose to attract all the clients and meaningful relationships you choose.
Feeling: If I’m successful bad things will happen to me
I don’t want to be to successful is another common decision. After all, pride comes before a fall, and there is nothing like feeling successful to make you feel proud. The “impending doom” feeling is a common related program. To undo it you need to take out the fear of bad things following good stuff.
So hopefully from this you can see the pattern of how to find things that need undoing, so that all that is left to do is take out the hidden sabotaging factor – be it a thought, a feeling, or a long held, hard wired belief.
The thing is that you create in your world whatever lurks in your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. And each influences the other. The only way to have things as you would like it is to do the deep work to root out all the stuff that is working against your conscious desires for health, happiness and prosperity.
