Slaying the Mind-Demons

“But, I’m just not good enough to approach a blog like that! Why would they be interested in my post? I’m not well-know and I’m by no means an expert…”

This was a client talking about how he really didn’t think he could take his awesome article to a big blog as a guest post.

It could easily have been a conversation about taking an idea out to market, or selling a coaching package to a prospect, or pitching an investor for funding…

The pattern is the same.

The steps to take to get a kick-ass result are usually pretty straight forward.

However, actually taking these steps is another matter.

There are some crazy stats out there that say that 80% of people want to publish a book.

Now, although there are lots of published authors out there, it is safe to say that only a small number of these folks actually get around to doing it.

Why?

Procrastination.

Not knowing if their writing is good enough.

Worrying about being rejected.

Finding time to write, or knowing what to write, amongst everything else going on…

Maybe you’ve noticed this about a few of your goals…

Like spending more time with the family, or increasing your profit margins, or building a team to help you with some of the heavy lifting, or stepping out with a new service or coaching practice?

Whatever it is you’re putting off, *recognising* that there is a sticking point is the first step to dealing with it.

The next step is putting aside time and allocating focus to deal with it.

If you’ve been feeling stuck for a while on a particular task, it may be time to take the bull by the horns and deal with it.

Make a pact with yourself now to tackle it head-on.

Go on… I’ll wait while you make a note…

Back?

Ok.

Now, this next part is very important.

If WRITNG is your sticking point, Chapter 4 of Linda’s new book: How to Get Out of The Rat Race is an excellent read. You’ll be unstuck and moving on your writing projects within an hour.

If it’s not writing, but something else you’re struggling to get going on, Chapter 4 in Linda’s book is an EXCELLENT RESOURCE to get your head in the right place. You’ll be moving on your project within an hour.

Get the idea? 😉
